Our new SYNACT® Brake System incorporates new patented brake pad sets, a completely re-designed (and 3.5 kg lighter) brake calliper, and a spring with a more efficient calliper release system. The system has been thoroughly tested and exceeds current European safety and environmental standards. It is also in line to comply with future European standards on brake pad fine particle emissions.

DAF Active Caliper Release (ACR) system

With many of the current brake systems on the market, over time the brake pad will start to rub against the brake disc, even without braking. This results in unnecessary wear of both brake pad and brake disc, leading to unexpected downtime. With the DAF Active Calliper Release (ACR) system, after each braking moment the brake pad always automatically returns to its original position, away from the brake disc. This results in less brake pad wear, less brake disc wear and increased fuel efficiency. And ensures your truck stays out on the road instead of in the workshop.
